The Initial Game Pass Additions of 2026 Reveal Xbox Is Still Fighting.

Everywhere you go, enthusiasts continue to ring the death bells for the Xbox brand. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a relatively obscure console. Platform-specific outlets began covering regarding Sony's platform unprecedentedly. The past year represented complete chaos for Xbox and Microsoft. However, judging purely by the titles headed to the service in 2026, it is apparent that Xbox remains determined to draw people in with strong games on its key platform.

The Current Inclusions

The duo of games that are immediately available at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's truly noteworthy.

Upcoming Headline Games

On Jan. 13, Game Pass will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that deviates from typical Ubisoft design with a cosmic robbery tale. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, hailed in past assessments as "an ideal blend of terror and combat."

Intriguing Niche Additions

Yet, the less-hyped additions set to join the catalog deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike that's a blast to play, becomes available next week — and you should try it even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.

The British post-apocalyptic game from last year could captivate you within just a quarter of an hour.

Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by the makers of Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.

A Well-Rounded Collection

In summary, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, nor are they tentpole Microsoft studios games that justify the service alone. But Microsoft's additions here are very dependable. There's a good mixture of old games you might have missed and relatively recent releases that lacked the recognition they warranted upon launch — rendering them excellent choices to get a second chance on Game Pass.

Be prepared to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
