Barça Set to Play Inaugural Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend

The club confirmed they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish league 30 months since relocating for construction to commence.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. When completed, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.

Recent Activities

Barcelona held an open training session inside the stadium in early November. Officials stated approval is being pursued from Uefa to host the next European match facing Eintracht in December at the stadium. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
